Joyce is the new identity of blocked players Beth and Jack.

A major twist took place in episode ten, the third live show of the series. The bottom two players in the latest ratings were to be automatically blocked; these were Jack in 7th place, and Beth in 8th place. However, a public vote was held to decide whether or not they’d get a second chance in the game.

Viewers were able to vote for one of two choices: for Jack and Beth to play on together as catfishes, assuming the identity of 62-year-old Joyce, or for a new couple named Ryan and Lauren to enter, playing under the solo identity of Ryan.

Jack and Beth won the poll and moved in to shared apartment to become Joyce. Her Circle bio is as follows:

“In my group of friends, I’m known as the quirky one. When I’m not sipping on a Gin and Tonic, I am usually buried in a book or taking Dora [her dog] on adventures. Last year, I visited my first festival, which was fabulous. Currently working my way through my bucket list.”

In the event that Joyce wins the series, Jack and Beth will split the prize money equally.
