Joey and Pippa have joined forces as a catfish after being blocked as solo players.
Joey and Pippa arrived in episode 11, the former catfishing as a Nigerian immigrant version of himself named Femi, the latter portraying herself.
In episode 16, they were blocked by Influencers Natalya and Scott. However, a twist gave them a second chance in the game, living together in the same apartment and playing under a joint catfish profile.
The Circle assigned them the role of a priest named Tom, including a profile picture, although they were free to create all other details of his identity.
In the event Joey and Pippa win the series, they will split the prize money equally. Their original profile details follow belowā¦
Motivation for entering The Circle
Joey: “I thought it would just be a good kind of thing for me to be able to touch on the fact that there are a lot of immigrants in the UK that move away from different countries seeking a better life to support family back home. I thought that would be a good thing to highlight. And I kind of love the show anyway. Iāve watched the last two seasons. I thought itād be fun.”
Pippa: “Iām going in The Circle to prove that you shouldnāt judge a book by its cover. Iām often misjudged by my appearance and the way I look. People assume that I lack intelligence. When me and my friends get chatting with people about what we do for work, when it comes to me people assume itās something based on aesthetics. Iām always explaining that actually, I have masterās degree in law; Iāve studied law for seven years. Thereās more to me than meets the eye.”
Strategy
Joey: “Even though thereās a part of the story thatās different to who I am, Iām still going to have the same attitude. Iām still going to be the fun, easy-going, talkative individual that I am. The person who likes to build relationships, who likes to give and offer advice to people as well. I think my main strategy is building relationships along the way.”
Pippa: “I am just being me and hopefully I can build relationships, but genuine relationships. To get far in life in general, you do have to have a good, genuine relationship with some people. Studying law and the career that Iām in is quite strategic. You have to have the art of communication and the gift of the gab to win people over. I play poker as well, so Iām quite good at sensing bluffers. So Iām going to be bringing in all my natural traits, and applying them to the game.”
